MANY of our classes are open for all levels. Please keep in mind some classes like Soul yoga & Vinyasa yoga require more strength and stamina. Brand new students to yoga would benefit by taking Back Bliss, Gentle yoga or Open Yoga to become familiar with the basics.

Please note that all our gifted teachers teach in thier unique style so every class a different.  Students are welcome to attend any ongoing weekly class, no need to pre-register.  Have body issues/ injury you need to be mindful or are brand new to yoga?  Best to stick with class towards the top of the list.  Still wondering what class to attend?  Contact Sally:  omsally@sbcglobal.net


CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Gentle Yoga: A very calming & deep yoga class to de-stress, center & breathe deep.  Supportive poses combined with basic posture sequencing helps to open, strengthen & re-align body & mind, all with a gentle compassionate approach!  

Gentle Flow Yoga : Gentle yoga taken a bit deeper into strengthening & stimulating more energy with gentle posture flows. Class is basic in nature but powerful in practice helping the mind grow aware of tighter areas in the body while effectively lengthening, calming & enlivening the body/ mind.

Yin Yoga: A highly rejuvenating and transformational practice that offers time to delve deeply into poses and the release available to you. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that are not normally exercised very much in more active asana practice. By holding these postures for extended periods of time (anywhere from 2 to 10minutes), the deep connective tissues that form our joints begin to stretch and rehabilitate, creating increased flexibility, reducing risk of injury to the joints, and promoting relaxation. The holding of the poses becomes a series of mini-meditations helping us explore the meaning of "being present"!

Meditative Soul Yoga : A generous class, spending time unlocking hips, shoulders & spine.  Holding poses for deeper sensation and energy helps students learn and explore a variety of poses and more variations...and themselves!   Emphasis on breath and reaching healing energy in to the deeper areas of the body helping to create a greater sense grounding & presense. A mindful practice generating strength, flexibility & balance. 

Open Yoga (Mixed levels): A moderate class with a fine balance between the gentle openers & the invigorating poses, flows & holds...for those new and practiced students...feel free to further the intensity level.  

Jai Friday Yoga w/ meditation:yoga class descriptions A balanced class of opening supportive/restorative postures with revitalizing posture sequencing & flows all to awaken & prepare the body for meditation & the weekend! Class explores welcome challenge to help deeply quiet as well as some fun non-yoga music!!! A great class for the end of the week!

Honey Flow: Yum, deep long holds invoking the qualities of yin yoga helping to dissolve tensions in body& mind.  Balance this with slow sweet posture flows (vinyasas) and begin to expand energy into all the cells of your body & spaces in your mind.  The yin qualities add a great meditative form to the practice,  while the vinyasa invokes strength & prana.

Vinyasa Open Flow: Open, rejuvenate, and invigorate your mind & energy with this flowing vinyasa style class.  Offering a mindful yoga workout, tune your mind & body to the positive vibe and venture into a realm of sweet welcome challenge & opening to what's sacred & love.

Soul Power Yoga : Strengthen your focus of your soul Self.  Class dives deeper into conscious breathing and explores opening posture sequences to both strengthen & open tighter areas of sensation. For the yogi wanting more challenge or ready to learn more, class builds power with an at times vigorous flow, or simply holding & exploring the beauty of you more alive with yoga!

Yoga for Pregnancy (prenatal): Creatiing fertility and preparing for birth.  This class offers a natural way to connect with your womb and create positive energy for you,  your child and your birthing experience. No experience necessary.

Kirtan: FREE! With Sally Noel & Sal Annunziato & Friends!  Kirtan is a yoga gathering where we chant the many names of the divine energy. Chants are typically in Sanskrit, invoking unusual power to quiet the mind and penetrate the heart with love.  Chants are led in call and response ranging from meditative to grooving, creating joy and peace!  Very fun, no experience necessary.  donations accepted thank you. Sally was first exposed to Kirtan while living at Kripalu, greatly inspired by her teacher Indukanta, Sally quickly fell in love with the freedom chanting created, and the beautiful journey kirtan offers.  Sal is a yoga teacher/rock musician whose great talent both vocally, musically (he plays guitar) and uplifting spirits led him to kirtan and the power it has for feeling euphoric!!

Do you want to practice yoga yet can't fit it into the tight budget?  Sliding scale exists, please contact Sally and we will work it out together.  Raven's Wing would rather you do yoga if the desire is there, than not because of financials. 488-9642, omsally@sbcglobal.net

Studio is also available for renting for various workshops & classes.  Wood floors, 100 blankets, blocks and yoga straps available for use. Room can hold up to 40 people.
